AmyJ Designs (Kathryn Middleton) Miarly Blanket Yarn Packs

The Miarly Blanket from AmyJ Designs was originally designed as a CAL, which took place in 2019.  The whole pattern is now available on the AmyJ Designs Ravelry page.  The designer, Kathryn, has given us an insight into the inspiration behind this pack:

"At the grand age of 57, I decided that I wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle, so I passed the test and purchased my first Harley Davidson! I have suffered with osteoarthritis for many years and this year (2019) it became apparent that my riding days were numbered and my beloved Harley had to go. I needed something to fill the void and I always turn to crochet in times of trouble. So I had the grand idea of designing a CAL. That bit was fine, but what was I going to call her? Chatting to some of my crochet friends one day and tossing ideas around I was asked if I had given my bike a name and maybe I could call the CAL after that. Well, I never did get round to naming her and she was usually referred to as "my bike" or "my Harley". (Have you got it yet??) Now being a born and bred Yorkshire lass I immediately translated this into “Yorkshire Speak” and so “Miarly” was born."

The Deeper Pastels colourway contains 17 balls of Stylecraft Special DK (100g) in the following shades and quantities:

You will also need a 4mm crochet hook.  The finished blanket will measure approximately 140cm x 180cm and the yarn pack quantities given are for this size.
